Terry Rion Sr. Obituary (1944 - 2022)

Terry Gene Rion Sr., age 77, of Mount Herman, Oklahoma, died Friday, January 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Tuesday, February 1, 1944 to Arnet Bill and Sarah Faye Sears Rion in Crestline, Kansas. Terry served in the Kansas National Guard and when he was honorably discharged, he started working in the fields of Kansas, hauling hay, working with grain elevators and working heavy construction until his retirement. He loved his wife and his children. He loved to take his son's squirrel hunting. Terry was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Terry is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Terry Rion Jr.; four brothers, Bill Rion, Jimmy Rion, Sammy Rion, and Don Rion and two sisters, Dixie Brannon and Margie Neville. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cathi Rion of Mount Herman, Oklahoma; one son, Timothy Rion of Mount Herman, Oklahoma; three brothers and sisters in law, Jake and Ann Rion of Weir, Kansas, Stanley and Maxine Rion of Crestline, Kansas and Larry and Karen Rion of Walnut, Kansas; two sisters and brothers in law, Prudy and Melvin Huffman of Weir, Kansas and Polly and Jim Frost of Afton, Kansas; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherwood Cemetery in Sherwood, Oklahoma with Brother Kane Riggs officiating.
