P.V. Campbell III Obituary (1954 - 2020)

P.V. Campbell III of Golden, OK went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2020. P.V. was born January 3, 1954, in Hugo, OK. He married the love of his life, Marilyn "Susie" (Smith) Campbell on January 20, 1977. They treasured 43 years together. P.V. was a member of First Baptist Church of Garvin where he loved serving as song leader and singing praises to God. He was a lifelong resident of McCurtain County, and was proud to be one of the last 2 students to graduate from Golden Elementary. He attended Broken Bow High School. P.V. graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree and later obtained a Master's in Education at SOSU. He loved teaching Science and Biology at Broken Bow High School. P.V. was passionate about caring for his cattle. His animals were like family to him. He grew the most beautiful gardens every year and loved sharing his produce with family and friends. P.V. passed suddenly preparing to go fishing at his favorite place, Sunk Lake. He was preceded in death by his father, P.V. Campbell Jr., and mother, Ledia Mae (Bacorn) Campbell, and father-in-law, Albert Smith. P.V. leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Susie Campbell of the home, and their daughter, Lindsey Erin Campbell of Golden. He also leaves his mother-in-law Norma Smith of Golden. As well as his brother, James "Bud" Campbell, and sister-in-law, Debbie Campbell, of Golden as well as two nieces and a great niece. P.V. will be greatly missed by his family and friends, whom he loved very much. A Celebration of Life Service will follow, date to be arranged.
