John moved to Idabel in July 2005 from Tulsa. He married Janice Shockley in Tulsa and they devotedly renewed their vows every year. He liked bowling, reading, surfing the internet, hunting and fishing, and was a history buff. He loved to work on and build cars, and when he needed to relax, the open road was his getaway. He loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church in Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Albert and Lillie Bell Dobson; and brother Paul Albert Dobson.John leaves to cherish his memory his wife Janice Dobson, of the home; sons Johnny Albert Dobson II, Colorado Springs, CO, and Johnny Dale Dobson, Broken Bow; daughters Helen Kay Younger, Tulsa, and Marsha Ann Ganem, Long Beach, CA; step-daughter Rhonda Birdsong, Carthage, TX; brothers David Dobson, Coffeyville, KS, and Jesse Dobson, Vista, CA; sister Mary Ellen Bruno, Sun City West, AZ; fourteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2006 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow. Interment will follow at Watson Memorial Cemetery, Oak Hill Community. Rev. A.L.
