James Broussard Jr, 77, of Broken Bow, OK passed away February 1, 2014. He was born July 4, 1936 the son of James Edward Broussard Sr and Willie B. (Elliot) Broussard in Broken Bow, OK. He was a member of Williams Temple Church of God in Christ in Broken Bow. James loved his grandchildren and enjoyed growing a garden and raising chickens. He enjoyed cooking BBQ and made a awesome sweet potato pie. James and Lillie (Duckett) were united in marriage at the home of Rev. Ed Graves in Idabel on October 2, 1963. James was preceded in death by his parents; Willie B. and James Broussard; three brothers, Alonzo, Kenneth and Rev. Jessie Broussard and one sister, Eva Alberty Broussard. He is survived by his loving faithful wife, Lillie Broussard of the home; six children, Maria Johnson and Carletta Burris both of Broken Bow, Donald Butler of Longview, TX, Dwight Broussard and Brenda Lewis of Holly Creek, OK, Sheila Broussard of Broken Bow and Edna Smith of Idabel, OK; two grandchildren of the home, William and Jasmine Smith; several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five brothers, Dr. Ray Broussard and wife, April of Carrolton, TX, Mack Broussard and wife, Cordeliah, Christian Broussard and wife, Demmie, Ivory Broussard and wife, Lula and Opal Broussard and wife, Katrice all of Oklahoma City, OK; four sisters, Viney Raines, Katie Broussard, Mary Broussard and Pearline Miller all of Oklahoma City, OK; two aunts, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other adopted sons and daughters and many friends.Cemetery:Lukfata Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK. \nTo send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of James Broussard, please visit our floral store.
