Delmer D. Flowers Obituary (1931

Delmer D. "Waukesha" Flowers, 83, of Broken Bow, OK passed away January 3, 2015 in Texarkana, TX. He was born March 4, 1931 in Peoria, AZ the son of Samuel B. and Rosa (Nelson) Flowers. Delmer and Joyce Laird were united in marriage November 12, 1952 in Needville, TX. He was a member of the Charity Baptist Church in Broken Bow, OK. Delmer served his country during the Korean War in the US Army joining in 1947; he was a member of the 45th Infantry Thunderbird Division, discharged in 1951 with rank of Sargent. He was a member of the local V.F.W. Post #4777. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, baseball, gardening, raising watermelons and purple hull peas. He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. Delmer leaves to cherish his memory his children, Judy Darlene (Flowers) Bean and husband, Don of Muskogee, OK, William David Flowers and wife, Bertha of Texarkana, TX, son-in-law, Gary Goode, Sr of Placedo, TX, Charles Ray Flowers and wife Krystal of Garland, TX, Tanya LaVern Smalling and husband, Jimmy of Holly Creek, OK, Harry Douglas Flowers of Holly Creek, OK; nineteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Carlene Arimborgo and husband, Bill of Kansas City, MS; longtime family friend, Lou Tillman; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
