Delbert Pap W. Wortham Sr., 82, longtime Idabel resident and business man, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at his home. He was born January 14, 1929 at Marshall Hill, the son of the late E.W. Wortham and Nellie Jane (Shankles) Wortham. Pap was self-employed for fifty years; he enjoyed working with his cattle and horses. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korea War and a twenty year veteran of the Idabel Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Nellie Jane Shankles Wortham; one daughter, Debra Annette Wortham; three sisters, Juanita Holloway, Delsie Jane Nelson, Willie Mae Bug Tapley.He is survived by one son, Delbert W. Pappy Wortham Jr. and wife, Peggy of Millerton, OK; two daughters, Vickie Lisenby and husband, Tony of Foreman, AR, Dana Wortham of Dennison, TX; one sister, Virginia Pearl Blackstock and husband, Bill of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren, David Wortham, Willie and Julie Wortham, Amy and Derrick Keeling, Christy and Allen Lee, Brandi Martin, Shanda Palmer, Kyle and Ashley Wyatt; ten great-grand children; several nieces, nephews; and a host of family and friends.Graveside services will be held, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2011 at Canfield Cemetery in Idabel with Bro. Brent Coffey and Bro.
