Cecil Tom Obituary (2016)

Cecil (Shorty) Tom, age 68, passed away November 11, 2016, at his home in Wright City. He was born October 2, 1948, to Genese Columbus Tom and Albert Tom, Sr., they precede him in death. He is survived by three children, Catherine Tom Getz of Buford, GA., SFC Adam Tom of Ft. Lewis, WA and Michael Loman, Tulsa; four grandchildren, Sadie, Wyatt and Audrey Getz of Buford, GA and Aislinn Tom of Ft. Lewis, WA; three sisters, Mattie Ferguson of Valliant, Ann Cusher of McAlester, Susan Laughlin of Bryant, AR; six brothers, Albert (Sonny Boy)Tom, Jr. of Sobol, Nicholas Tom of Phoenix City, AL, Skippy Tom of Hephzibah, GA, Gary Tom of Holly Creek, Jimmy Tom and Glenn Tom, both of Broken Bow; along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins. He was a disabled Vietnam vet, a police officer for many years and worked for Choctaw Nation casino for many years as well. Services are to be held Monday, November 14, 2016, at 10:00 AM, at the Wright City Auditorium, Wright City, OK, with burial following at Slater Memorial Cemetery.
