Armel Tommye Kiser Obituary (1929

Armel Tommye Kiser, age 84, of Mena, died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Rich Mountain Nursing and Rehab. She was born on Thursday, November 5, 1929 to William Arnold and Cynthia Dilbeck Bates in Big Fork, Arkansas. There were two things in Tommyes life that she held most dear first was Jehovah God and second was her family. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Mena where she was very active. Secondly, her family was also very important to her and loved her son, Tim and his family with all her heart. She loved to raise flowers and sewing, and cooking. She was a great cook and was the best at making Apple Pies with her special crust that she made. Tommye worked for 20 years at the Northside Laundry Mat before retiring. Tommye was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and she will be greatly missed by all. Tommye is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pauline Bates Taylor. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Tim and Andrea Kiser of Mena; three grandsons, Trevor, Tanner and TJ Kiser all of Mena; one brother and sister in law, Dale and Mary Lou Bates of Boles, Arkansas; two sisters, Ava Jean Davidson of Mena and Pat Harrison of Mena; several nieces and one nephew and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Mena with Mike Tilton officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.
