Barbara Ann Rowe

Barbara Ann Rowe, age 78 of Zafra, Oklahoma, went to be with her heavenly father, Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Sparks Health System. She was born on Monday, July 29, 1940 to Thurman Edward and Hazel Bates Wagner in Mena, Arkansas.

Barbara worked over 20 years at Aalf's Manufacturing in Mena before she retired. She accepted Christ as her savior and lived a good life. Barbara loved seeing friends at Walmart and socializing. In her free time she enjoyed camping at the lake, crossword puzzles, and yard sales. She was very close with her family, and nothing made her happier than all her grandchildren. Barbara was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thurman Wagner; her brother, Gerald Wagner and her brother in law, Chuck Mitchell.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Glenn (Chief) Rowe of Zafra; her mother, Hazel Wagner of Fort Smith; her daughter, Tammy Rowe Jacobs and Luke Sutter of Zafra; her son, Glenn E. Rowe of Mena; her brother and sister in law, Johnny and Gloria Wagner of Greenwood; two sisters, Emma and Ali Samadi of Fort Smith and Bonnie Mitchell of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Cris and Brittany Phillips(Jacobs) of Zafra, Heather and Allan Weir of Spiro, Oklahoma, Kyle and Candace Rowe of Mena, Whitney Howell and Devin Horner of Mena and Jake Rowe and Brooklyn Wright of Mena; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and bonus daughters, Tina LaShum of Mena and Audrey McNeal of DeQueen, a host of other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randal Wagner, Mike Cambell, Hayden Ollar, Chris Crowley, Alvin Rosson and Rick Morris.

A funeral service will be Monday, August 27, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Reggie Fryar officiating. Visitation will start at 10:00 A.M. and go to 12:00 P.M. the morning of the funeral on Monday, August 27, 2018. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
