Virgil Henry, age 56, of Mena, Arkansas died Tuesday, May 15 2018 at the Mena Regional Health System. He was born on Saturday, September 2, 1961 to James Edward and Nelda Rae Harvey Henry in Coos Bay, Oregon.
Virgil was always willing to help anyone in need. He spent his time as a carpenter building houses in the Polk county area. Virgil was very proud of his family and loved spending all the time he could with his grandchildren and the rest of the family. He liked country and gospel music as well as hunting and fishing in his free time. Virgil had a big heart and loved his family immensely. Virgil was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a great friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Edward Henry and Jimmy Henry.
Virgil is survived by his loving wife, Lilly Henry of Alder Springs; three sons, Jonathan and wife Dorothy Woody of Mena, Samuel and wife, Kaylea Dollarhide, and William Dollarhide; six daughters, Nelda Henry of Irving, Texas, Misty Paudyal of Irving, Texas, Kendra and husband, Travis Davis of Hatfield, Crystal and husband, Trevor Reason of Florida, Amanda and husband, Devin Dollarhide of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Nicole and husband, Mark Carver of Foreman, Arkansas; two brothers, Jackie and wife, Betty Henry of Mena, and Johnnie Henry of Mena; four sisters and brothers in law, Patricia and Jim Heard of Mena, Bonnie and Don Leach of Oregon, Juanita and Dennis DePriest of Cove, and Sherry and Wes Copeland of Mena; one sister in law, Fran Henry of Dover, Arkansas; eighteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at the Historic National Guard Armory in Mena on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 10:00 AM to noon. Cremation services are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
