Juanita Jean Falls, age 70 of Acorn, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at her home. She was born on Thursday, October 23, 1941 to Ray and Winnie Lorrain Ibison Crossland in San Gabriel, California.
Juanita had many loved in her life. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to aggravate them and always had to have the last laugh. She was married to the love of her life, Gene for 41 good years and they raised four children together. They were her life. Then, when it came time for the grandchildren life got sweeter for her. Juanita was a hard working lady. She was involved in many different things in her community, where she was a part of the Acorn Extension Club and secretary for the Acorn Fire Department. She was a member of the Acorn Baptist Church. Some of Juanita hobbies included crocheting, reading and shopping. She was passionate about shoes and purses. She also enjoyed motorcycle riding with her husband. Juanita was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald Gene Falls, Sr. and her sister Marie Lewis.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Ronnie and Lisa Falls of Acorn and Jerry and Pam Falls of Texarkana, Arkansas; two daughters and sons in laws, Rhonda and Joe Gonzalez of Brownwood, Texas and Susan and Phillip McGarity of Sheridan, Arkansas; two brothers, Marvin Crossland of Sun City, California and Richard Crossland of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren, Hailee Falls, Raven Falls, and Brittany King all of Texarkana, Arkansas, Logan, Tyler and Lacey Riley all of Sheridan, Arkansas and Alexis Gonzalez of Brownwood, Texas; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Mena with Bro Roger Bishop and Brother Orval Heath officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove. Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wagner, Wes Falls, Dwayne Webb, Brandon Falls, Chance Alten and Mike Henry.
